Toner FAQs

How do I apply toner?
Toners are usually a thin textured formula that can be easily applied with a small cotton ball or cotton round. Gently wipe across the face until it feels completely clean. Toners can cause a tightening effect on the skin, so it’s important to always finish your regimen with a moisturizer.
How is toner different from a cleanser?
A cleanser removes surface dirt, oil, impurities and pollutants from the face. Toner helps to remove excess oils and impurities that lie a bit deeper in the skin by gently exfoliating the skin. Both cleansing and toning help to prepare the skin for the application of skin treatments and moisturizer.
When during my skincare regimen do I use toner?
Using a toner is the second step in the cleansing process. It should be applied daily after your cleanser, to help remove excess oils and dead skin that may still be present on the face after cleansing. Toner helps prepare the skin for other skincare products, so apply it before moisturizer or other products.
